Who writes this

Articles are written under the byline Jackson — the person running these experiments and tracking the results. Jackson is not a licensed financial advisor, CPA, or attorney. Everything here is educational and reflects personal research and experience, not personalized financial, tax, or legal advice. For decisions specific to your situation, talk to a qualified professional.

How we research and write

• Numbers first. Every claim that involves money is backed by a specific figure, a worked example, or a table — not a vague generalization.
• Primary sources. Tax and regulatory facts are checked against official sources (IRS, SSA, Treasury, SEC, CFPB) and we link to them so you can verify. Thresholds and limits are dated, because they change.
• Real experience where we have it. When a post is based on money we actually put in — a lending account, a crypto purchase, a product we bought — we say so and show the results, good or bad.
• Updated, not abandoned. When rules change (contribution limits, 1099-K thresholds, rates), we revise the article and stamp it with a "last updated" date rather than leaving stale numbers up.
• Corrections welcome. If something here is wrong, email us and we'll fix it and note the correction.
